General Admission Guidelines
Admission to Kalayaan College is open to Filipinos and foreigners alike.  The following are qualified to apply for admission:

Filipinos

  1. Graduates of high schools duly accredited by the Department of Education (DepEd);
  2. Students who have passed the Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency Test (ALS-AET);
  3. Holders of the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) Certificate, in lieu of a high school diploma;
  4. Graduates of high schools abroad who have completed the high school program in the country where they had their education and have passed a college-qualifying national or international examination;
  5. College students from other higher education institutions duly accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) seeking transfer to Kalayaan College; College students from higher education institutions abroad who wish to complete their degree in Kalayaan College; and
  6. Holders of college degrees who wish to pursue a second degree.

Foreigners

  1. Graduates of high schools abroad who have completed the high school program in the country where they had their education and have passed a college-qualifying national or international examination;
  2. Graduates of high schools in the Philippines duly accredited by the Department of Education (DepEd);
  3. College students from higher education institutions abroad seeking transfer;
  4. College students seeking transfer from other higher education institutions in the Philippines duly accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)[1]; and
  5. Holders of college degrees who wish to pursue a second degree.

 

Admission Requirements

All applicants for admission must submit the following to the Office of the Registrar (OR):

  • a duly accomplished KC Application Form (KC ACAD Form No. 1-2016), which is available at the Office of the Registrar or may be downloaded from kalayaan.edu.ph;
  • birth certificate (show original and submit photocopy);
  • certificate of good moral character from the applicant’s previous school (with school seal); and
  • two (2) pieces of 2 x 2 pictures taken within the last three months.

[1] The CHED and Bureau of Immigration (BI) require foreign students already enrolled in a higher education institution in the Philippines to complete at least two semesters in that school before they are allowed to transfer to another school.

Kalayaan College Entrance Exam

KCETThe Kalayaan College Entrance Exam (KCET) is a two and a half-hour exam that assesses the proficiency of our student applicants in English and Mathematics.

All incoming freshmen applicants and transfer students who are in first year or second year standing are required to take this exam as part of their admission process.

For non-Fine Arts student applicants:
9:00 am or 1:3o pm 

For Fine Arts student applicants:
9:00 am (KCET)
1:30 pm (Talent Test)

The deadline for student applications for 2nd semester AY 2017-2018 is on Dec 08, 2017.
Admission period for 2nd semester AY 2017-2018 is from Sept 01, 2017 to Dec 08, 2017.
